Shot 69B

Bogotá D.C

Since I lost my camera about two weeks ago I decided to a buy a new and better one as soon as possible. Trips overseas or anywhere around might be the priority for me these days but trips without passions are like great landscapes and sights without a camera. Travelling is an all encompassing experience and as such I'll put buying a new camera over my trip so to get to my destination as I would like to. That's the logic.

It was a loss indeed but there was no sorrow or shame. Only great memories and acceptance. Besides, "La negra" was already getting somewhat rusty and slow, with a few scratches that couldn't be avoided.

She used to like somehow my carelessness that in the best of cases could've been an unintended roughness. An open lack of tact from my part, basically. I'm clumsy by nature and my camera used to like that. A kind of reality between us used to appear when it came about walking at 3 am in any suburb, pissed, just her and I or with friends. Always at the verge of losing each other forever.

An intimacy with a tool to express myself. A type of caring for a creative artefact. My camera was my confident for many, many years.

Whatever the case may be, as for her and my work with her, I've decided to count backwards on the posting area and give myself a deadline to get a new camera while at the same time keep posting old pics and counting back to Shot 0.

Buen viento y buena mar.
Vámonos.

While you watch.
